띵 (tting)
*ding!* — head ringing
What it means
A ringing 'ding' — a bell, or your head going blank from shock or a hangover.
When you'll see it
In manhwa, it's the panel where someone hears something so shocking their head rings, or the little "띵!" that pops up at a sudden realization. In real life Koreans say their head is 띵 after a night of drinking, or after eating ice cream too fast. Online slang adds a twist: a masterpiece (명작) gets called 띵작, and a great song (명곡) a 띵곡 — because 명 and 띵 look alike when you squint.
Where it shows up in manhwa
- A shocking line leaves someone's head ringing
