띠로리 (ttirori)

*uh-oh* — the fail jingle

What it means

The little 'everything just went wrong' jingle — Korea's version of the sad trombone. Not a real sound.

When you'll see it

It's the music Korean variety shows play when someone messes up or a plan falls apart, written out as text. If 뚜둥 means 'oh no, something big is coming,' 띠로리 means 'aaand it's ruined.' In manhwa it shows up right after a character acts super confident — and then fails in the very next panel. Friends use it too: '띠로리… 지갑 두고 왔다' — 'wah wah… I left my wallet at home.'
